KI-Media is truly saddened by the death of Mr. Chut Wutty, the President of the Natural Resources Conservation Group who was murdered on 26 April 2012 while guiding two journalists to investigate illegal logging in Phnom Kravanh (Cardamom) Mountains in Koh Kong province.
We are appalled to learn about the attempt made by the military police officers – who were supposed to stop illegal logging activities – to confiscate deforestation photos taken by Mr. Chut Wutty and the journalists, an action which resulted in this cold blood murder. We demand that a fair investigation be conducted in this murder case.
