Quiray, a former Mutya ng Pilipinas-International winner, also won the "Best in Ao Dai Costume" competition. The Ao Dai is a traditional Vietnamese long dress for women.
The beauty contest, held from March 17 to 22 in Ho Chi Minh City, brought together 16 media professionals from various countries like Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Brunei, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar and Malaysia.
Each country sent 2 representatives to compete in 4 categories like a traditional costume show, talent portion, an ao dai show and evening gown show on the last day of the pageant.
The event was meant to promote solidarity and friendship among ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) member countries.
Vietnam, where the contest was held, assumed chairmanship of the ASEAN this year and will be host to a series of summit meetings among the region's leaders.
