Vendors at Phsar Leu market look on as workers hired by Siem Reap city officials dismantle their stalls. More than 100 vendors who had been operating in front of the market were evicted Thursday, officials said. Oeun Pov, the deputy governor of Siem Reap city, said around 50 police officers had been sent to remove the stalls, which had been set up between Phsar Leu and National Road 6 and mainly belonged to vendors selling fruits, noodles and vegetables. “This site should be used for parking cars, motorbikes and bicycles,” he said.
